Family ServicesParents are identified as the child’s first and best teacher. Every family is encouraged to complete a Family Partnership Agreement. Family members are assisted with identifying their strengths, needs, interests and problem solving. The Family Worker meets with the family to assist in the goal setting process for the parents and their children and helps the family monitor their progress in achieving their goals. The building of rapport between staff and families allows them to share with and learn from each other. Families are provided information regarding community resources, services to pregnant women and the importance of parent involvement. Staff make referrals for families as needs are discussed.
